Step into the elegance of traditional Shetland knitting with this beautiful vintage Bestway B2560 twin set knitting pattern. Inspired by the delicate lace traditions of Unst, the northernmost island of the Shetlands, this pattern features a graceful lace motif reminiscent of classic Shetland lace techniques.

The charming original cover illustration places the model outside the Haroldswick Post Office in Unst, creating a wonderful connection to the region where Shetland lace knitting has been practiced for generations.

This delightful classic style twinset is knitted in 'fascinating' but simple-to- work traditional lace stitches from Unst, the most northerly of the Shetland Isles. The jumper has a left shoulder opening, and all borders are in single ribbing. This pattern includes instructions for two sizes, 33-35" and 35-37" bust.

Shown in the background of the front cover of this knitting pattern is the Haroldswick Post Office, which was historically known to be the most northerly Post Office in the whole of the UK. It has now unfortunately closed down.
