Vintage 40s Lace Knit Cardigan Pattern, Bust 32-33 (PDF Pattern)
Lawtons Leaflet no. 253, Vintage 40s Lace knit cardigan, Bust 32"-33", Lawton's Sportswear 3-ply Double Knitting, pdf knitting pattern
*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD, NOT THE ORIGINAL PATTERN*
This cardigan looks such a quick knit, using a slightly chunkier yarn than 30s/40s knitting enthusiasts might be used to. The pattern states to use 'Lawton's Sportswear 3-ply Double Knitting', but that seems to contradict itself with 3-ply AND Double Knitting. The gauge on the pattern is 7sts = 2", so to me, this indicates either an Aran weight or thicker Double Knit yarn - maybe the American Sport weight. As usual, make sure you do a gauge swatch!!!!!
Needles needed: Old English size 6 and 1
Yarn needed: 8oz of whatever you can use to get gauge!
